thank you for asking !! it definitely depends on who u ask since there r multiple reasons why someone could hoard urls, but for me personally i hoard urls so that i can decorate them at a later time. i value hoarding urls because i like decorating them more than i like the trading aspect. if it gives off the impression that hoarding is a little selfish, then i do agree that it can be! i understand that when i hoard i am withholding urls that other ppl may want, but thats another reason why some ppl might hoard : to sell urls !! the biggest reason why ppl hoard urls on rentry is because the cooler the url, the more sought after it is. if you cant reclaim an url for whatever reason, whether it be someone is actively using it or you lost a claim, you can offer something in return to get the url you want. that being said, some people might hoard urls so that they can get urls that interest them more in return, or get revenue by trading for things like nitro/robux/paste decos, etc. so to kinda put it simply, the biggest benefit that can come from url hoarding is that they can be traded or sold for an url you might want more or just gaining something like robux/money. not everyone hoards solely for that reason (like i said, i dont exactly hoard for selling) and it can be other reasons like they’re saving it for a friend (or to gift it to a friend), saving it to customize later down the road for themselves, or other things that i honestly just cant think of right now ^_^; hopefully this helps a little, feel free to ask more abt stuff like hoarding and reclaiming and i’ll try my best to answer!! <33 sorry if any of this sounds harsh i promise im genuinely excited to answer this ^_^!! thank you anonnn
